Hi. I'm JoAnn Alcon-Ortiz. Prior to becoming a Farm Bureau Agent I was employed by the Luna Community College (LCC) in Las Vegas, NM for 28 years as the Vice President for Finance and Administration. I also served as a Board member of the New Mexico Public School Insurance Authority Board (NMPSIA) and served as Board Secretary for 6 years. After retiring from LCC, I stayed home for approximately 1.5 years enjoying retirement. However, I decided that I was still too young to fully retire, on October 1, 2000, I accepted an Agent position with Farm Bureau Financial Services and opened my office in Las Vegas, NM. As a Farm Bureau Agent, I am able to do what I do best — help people. With my prior work experience and my insurance knowledge I can help people better understand their insurance needs and coverage.

My husband and I own a cattle ranch, and we enjoy the great outdoors. Our daughters are also educators, and we enjoy spending time with our two beautiful granddaughters and our grandson.
